At albumprinter we are passionate about preserving memories for a lifetime. We also believe in sponsoring great initiatives that fit our core values.

That’s why we support the Make-a-Wish Foundation by giving children an albelli photo book to remember the day their wish came true. We also provide photo books to raise awareness for Het Glazen Huis (The Glass House) and 3FM Serious Request, a campaign that raises money each year for specific causes like reducing infant mortality.

And when our colleagues raise money for a good cause, like funding research to fight life threatening diseases, we support them in any way we can.

3FM Serious Request

Eric Corton, Dutch radio personality, singer and actor travels around the world every year for ‘Het Glazen Huis’ (‘The Glass House’). This sponsorship campaign raises money for a specific charity every year, for example reducing infant mortality rates. We provide photo books of the trip Eric does to raise awareness for that year’s subject.

Amsterdam City Swim 2013

A team of albelli-swimmers was brave enough to defy the chilly, murky waters of the canals of Amsterdam. By participating in this charity swim event they collected money for the ALS Foundation, who seeks to cure the muscle disease through global research.

Dam tot Damloop 2013
The ‘Dam tot Damloop’ is an annual running event going from Amsterdam to Zaandam. It’s the biggest running event in The Netherlands with a history that dates back to 1959.

Seventeen albumprinters participated in the event and showed their sporty side by running just over sixteen kilometers. We are proud of our colleagues and hope the 2014-team will be an even bigger group!

In 2010 the KWF Cancer research organization worked together with the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam to give awareness to the importance of research. Oncology researchers from over the whole world presented in the museum together with art restorers.

Surprisingly enough, there are a lot of similarities between the research methods of both disciplines; the use of X-ray equipment, microscopic research and seeking the best option to cure a patient – be it a person or a painting!

Movember – Raising awareness and collecting for cancer research

In the month of November, or from now on ‘Movember’ because of the moustaches, men (called Mo Bros) grow their moustaches to give awareness to male health problems. During this hairy period they collect money for research into prostate cancer. A big group of albumprinter Mo Bros participated in the event, and together they managed to be the biggest fundraiser in The Netherlands.

The albumprinter Movember-team – changing the face of men’s health, one moustache at a time!

Make-a-Wish Foundation Netherlands

Make-A-Wish Netherlands grants the favourite wish of children with a life-threatening illness, and gives them the strength to be a child. albumprinter is all about preserving memories for a lifetime, so every child gets an albelli photobook as a memory of their special experience.

Alpe D’Huzes – Team Edwin

To raise money for cancer research, our Business Development Manager, Edwin de Greef rode a tandem bike to the top of the Alpe D’Huez, and scaled the top three times solo. A great event, with more than 8.000 Dutch participants and 25.000 friends and family along the Alpe D’Huez climb.

Alpe D’Huzes – Team Thijs

In commemoration of a friend ‘Team Thijs’ was formed to cycle to the top of the Alpe D’Huez mountain. Mascha, Quality Assurance Engineer at albumprinter, participated as ‘non-cycling member’ in the team, as also someone very dear to her was diagnosed with cancer. During an albumprinter employee-event a lottery was organized raising money. albumprinter later doubled the outcome of this lottery. With the help of friends, family and colleagues, the team managed to raise more than € 35.000,-. An impressive sum which will benefit cancer research.
